Handgun Classes to Meet Your Needs

Handgun Exposure

This 2 hour introductory class is perfect for the person who has never been around handguns, or has minimal experience with handguns. We will spend the first hour in a classroom setting; handling handguns and discussing many principals of firearms ownership and use. The second hour is spent at the range allowing you, (with proper hearing, eye protection, and supervision) to be exposed to actual gunfire and test firing small caliber handguns.

Primary Pistol Course

8 hours of instruction 4 hours class room and 4 hours actual range time. Bare Arms Instructors will introduce you to firearms, their usage, maintenance and safety. We will cover the different types of handguns, stance, sighting; breathe control, maintenance, range safety, and a practical 100 round shooting course. This class is a must for new Firearms Owners and Shooters.

Pistol Proficiency

This 3 hour course will expand on what you have learned in Primary Pistol. It will also take a shooter with basic skill to the next level. We will fine tune your basic shooting skill in this course. There will be more focus on handling, holstering, drawing and firing. You can expect to fire 300 rounds during this highly interactive course.

Defensive Pistol

This 3 hour course will expand on what you have learned in Primary Pistol. It will also take a shooter with basic skill to the next level. We will fine tune your basic shooting skill in this course. There will be more focus on handling, holstering, drawing and firing. You can expect to fire 300 rounds during this highly interactive course.

Advanced Handgun Courses

Level 1

This is an intense course in which you will be engaged for 3 hours in draw fire drills, and malfunction drills. You will be taught to engage threat targets and deal with multiple threat targets. We will cover basic tactics, reloading (Magazine Changes), dealing with failure or malfunction drills. This class is defiantly for the shooter who wants to home defend or carry a firearm for protection. You will need multiple magazines , 5 if possible (Pistols) or speed loaders 5 if possible (revolvers), and 500 rounds of ammo for this class block.

Level 2

Get Ready! In this class you will be put through intensive movement drills, cover vs. concealment. You will fire from multiple positions including prone and on your back. This is a very fast paced and dynamic course. Your instructor will work through several drawing and shooting scenario drills from multiple distances (Single and Multiple Threats). This course also includes additional drills to hone your tactical shooting abilities. A towel, water and snack are advised for this course. You will need multiple magazines and or speed loaders (5 of each preferred) and 500 rounds of ammunition for sure!

Advanced Tactical Defensive Pistol

It is here; many of you have asked and Bare Arms llc listened. This will challenge all of your skill sets with firearms. This course is for the advanced shooter only. We will put you in actual scenarios designed to test your abilities and push your limitations. You will be shooting from multiple physical positions and in and around a vehicle. You will deal with multiple threats at once. There will be actual walk through type scenarios set up for you to work through. In this very dynamic course you will fire from multiple positions, engage single to multiple situational targets. Many concepts of shooting will be explored. The Instructors at Bare Arms LLC have gone all out to make this real world and very challenging, even to the experienced shooter. You will need 700 rounds of ammunition, additional mag carriers, plus 5 or more mags. You will need mag carriers for your belt. Please bring plenty of water and a towel!
*This class must be booked at least 1 month in advance
* Each Student Shooter must be individually accepted for this class in advance by Bare Arms Training Coordinator or Owner to be registered based off their known shooting ability and previous training.

NRA Phase 1 & 2 Basic Pistol

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is a blended training course, which means a portion of the course (Phase 1) is conducted in an online environment that can be completed on your own time. Upon successfully completing the online exam, students will be required to register for the instructor-led training portion (Phase 2), which is to be conducted at your local range with an NRA Certified Instructor. You must successfully complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 in order to receive your NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course certificate.

Refuse To Be A Victim (NRA)

This course helps you to have base understanding a criminal mindset. It will train you to be very aware of your surroundings and have a survival mindset. This course is 4 hours in length. It is designed for group classes in all associations, work and worship places.
