"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
A twenty-six-word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And God's treatment is prescribed in John 3:16:
- He loves
- He gave
- We believe
- We live
You may not understand it all, but God is faithful and will fill in the blanks. John 12:46 says,"I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness."
All you have to do is believe, and God will do the rest.
If you are sincerely ready to receive salvation, then pray the following prayer:
"Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.
I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.
I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ."
If you don't have a Bible come to BareArms and receive one for free.
- Read the first four books of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Pay special attention to the life Jesus lived. How did He behave? How did He treat people? How did He seek after His Father? Jesus is our example. He came to this earth, not only to save us, but to show us how to live our lives seeking a relationship with God and serving people.
- Find a Bible based church that believes that Jesus is the only way to salvation. How do you find that out? Call and ask before you visit.
If you prayer this prayer, or if you have any questions, we would love to hear from you. Everyone has their story of salvation and we would love to hear yours. You can reach us here: Email us your story...
